The Places We Carry - a workshop on April 24th, 2024

The idea of “Place” can carry both physical and emotional meanings for us. Our places might include towns and landscapes as well as people, ideas, and.  What are the places you’ve been part of, and what are the ones you find yourself moving towards? We’ll look at poems that reflect themes of place in various ways, and write from the words and images that most speak to us. All are welcome, and no experience with poetry or writing is necessary.

Facilitated by Susan Jefts, M.S. and author of the poetry collection Breathing Lessons. Wednesday, April 24th, 5 – 7 p.m. at Caldwell- Lake George Library Call 518-668-2528 to register.

Breathing Lessons Book Launch

Live music, wine and bites, a short reading, and a book sale and signing.

Breathing Lessons, is out this October from Shanti Arts Publishing in Brunswick, Maine. Her book will be available on Shanti Arts website, at Bookshop.com, Amazon, Goodreads, and in bookstores in upstate New York, the Adirondacks, and Vermont.

A Little Poetry on an Autumn Night
